Brevard Chapter President's Greeting:

Compatriots

With your help the New Year will be a very special and productive one. The dedication of the new monument at Cape Canaveral to honor the last ‘Naval Battle of the American Revolution” will be an exciting event next March 10th. I hope you all will mark it on your calendars now and will be there. Ben DuBose (as usual) has worked masterfully to handle the political and economic hurdles to make this possible.

It has been good to see so many new members inducted by our able Past President, John Davenport. And some of those faces are relatively young. I remember when I was a young face but time marches on. We need to be alert for potential members and I want to thank George Darby, our Registrar, for all his efforts in helping applicants qualify for membership.

Now that we have a recording secretary, Bill Shapbell, it will not be necessary for me to summarize the meetings for those who were unable to attend. I will, however, try to draw attention to those developments that seem to me most important. So here’s to a happy, healthy, productive year for the Brevard Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution.
